I hate to say I've succumbed and jumped onto the Blogger Bandwagon - I've only gone and purchased myself a statement tee. It's an ebay bargain and not one of the Brian Lichtenberg ones though. I'm also wearing my beautiful mohair cardigan from a vintage shop in Camden. It's got some dead animal sewn onto it hence no close up images today as I wouldn't like to offend anyone - but my stance is that fur is gorgeous, and vintage fur is very acceptable.
A recent Spring clear out has me rediscovering lots of old pieces! I found my vintage leather and suede jacket - another piece from TRAID charity shop. I know the outfit is a bit black today but some things are beyond our control... I used to love organising outfits together and experimenting in different ways but I've noticed recently I'll throw together what ever happens to be at the front of my wardrobe - which I guess is an experiment in itself. So today is black and tomorrow are ponies.

I always thought I loved a print having an array of leopards, tigers, snakes and zebras hung in my wardrobe but prints outside this collection are far a few between. It's probably a bit too late to make new year's resolutions but from now on I'm going to do print as much as possible :) I picked up this giant hound's tooth shirt from a charity shop, TRAID in the Westbourne Grove branch. Its my favourite chain of charity shops in London as there's always a good mix of vintage and new stuff and every 2-3 months they have a massive clear out and everything is £2!
The second the sun comes out I'm putting on my floatiest see-through dress and parading down the street bare foot - You can take a girl out of Yorkshire but you can't take the Yorkshire out of me.......
But for now my wardrobe seems to be regressing. While I love a sparkle and some shine - it's a bit festive! I can't help it the weather is confusing my body and my general attire. I feel like a bird who flew south but still ended up in the Arctic.
I don't normally like to bring attention to my lips but the shiny materials I'm wearing just called for it.
When I was at school there were two types of girls. The Horsey Girls and the Non-Horsey lot. I was the latter and proud of it. Frankly I just thought it was a little bit cringe to gallop around the playground grunting and kicking my hind legs around. Now I'm older, I see the magic!! Unicorns! They're beautiful and horses are the nearest I'm ever going to get to unicorns. Ergo, I like horses...
I've facebooked and Instagrammed my new vest a few times already and the reaction hasn't been positive - I've even heard open sniggering about it when I'm walking down the street but I don't care because I LOVE MY ROMWE VEST. It's got studs, bleached denim, unicorns and pink feathers...what's not to love?!
Or don't. In fact hyping on lookbook.nu would be amazing, please! I picked up this oversized sequinned tee from a shop called Republic for a tenner.... I don't normally shop there as I only know the branch up north but there's always a bargainous treasure tucked away and I even spotted my beloved Vila military jacket for £25! I bought mine from very.co.uk for £60.... My pink bow hasn't really left my head for about 3 weeks and it doesn't look to be going anywhere - I've got a feeling my spring wardrobe is going to be dominated by all things fluorescent this year. Sorry for the manky face today - that's the mix of me trying 'to connect with the camera' and being hideously exhausted. But busy is always good, even at the expense of my face!
I've just booked my holiday for hot North Africa for later on this year and decided I was ready for sunshine and summer dresses. Then I woke up to this... :( Bent on wearing heels and summery clothes anyway I've layered up and added my wool hat. I will not let the weather beat me today!
Ever I since I saw Bryan Boy wear the veil beanie on ANTM I have been obsessed! It's a mega celeb/blogger favourite and being a mental band wagon jumper albeit rather tardy - here's how I updated my bobble hat.
All you need to do is cut about 50-70cm of veiling (depending on how big your head is...) and sew into place. This is literally the simplest 10 second bit of customizing I've ever done and it's completely updated my hat. I got the veil netting from eBay - here's the link.
If you didn't already know Glamour Magazine created an exclusive collection for Very.co.uk! The collection has a timeless appeal with a bit of Glamour's signature pink thrown in there in the form of a cute tutu (my favourite!) . It adds a bit of fun to the range and I literally can't wait to see what's to come next out of the collaboration. They've magically managed to include all the wardrobe staples and made it accessible and attractive to many different women. For the launch of the collection I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Google+ Hangout with Glamour, Very.vo.uk and some really influential fashion bloggers! YES I was star-stricken. Being in a virtual room with Frassy, StyleSuzi, Fashionista Barbieand the Fashion Team at Glamour including Jo Elvin, the editor was a dream. The bloggers got a chance to exclusively interview the Glamour team which included Jo Elvin, Charlotte Anne Fidler (creative and fashion director) and Emer Dewar (Editor and Large) and we chatted about the vision of the collection, the inspiration and we explored how this wonderful collaboration arose.

I've also been sporting my new Glamour collection pieces a lot since they joined my wardrobe and will be doing a post about the different ways to wear the tutu!
The past few weeks have been freezing but super sunny which has got me excited about the coming Spring. Colours are creeping their way back into my black attire and to keep me warm I've tried to channel colours through my accessories - for example my red Irregular choice shoes or through bright nail colours. I'm also really feeling a fringe finish on practically everything at the moment. Fringe bags, shirts, skirts, jackets and my latest fringed item are these pleather shorts from Boohoo.com - they're amazing! They make my otherwise flat packed buttocks look peachy...
Jeans. I don't wear them and yet I'm still bent on finding the perfect pair. The ones I'm wearing today were picked up from a charity shop in South Yorkshire ages ago. They're old Levi's and cost me £2 - I had the intention of slicing them up and adding leather pockets and studs so I could sell them on but I kind of like them as they are! Who knows how much I'll wear them...but today I'm loving them with a high heel and a casual jumper.
